Developmental editing is an in-depth process (very coach-like), where I work closely with you through at least two phases, maybe more, to make those bits and pieces of your story come together for the reader.
It starts with a manuscript evaluation, where I look at your characters and plot (for fiction) or general organization and writing clarity (for nonfiction) and give you a detailed evaluation of your book. The manuscript evaluation will also give you an idea of our compatibility for more in-depth editing for your book.
This developmental editing phase is not about grammar or word choice per se. If you need just grammatical and spelling help, try out my copy editing and proofreading page.
Your cost for manuscript evaluation and further developmental editing will depend on the length of your book and what shape your manuscript is in. To discuss your project and get a quote, contact me.
